Foiled on a Friday

Today's page is a very random collection of images all sparked by the foil top off my cream cheese container this morning... the text of which reads "butter up your boss, not your bagel". Included here are pieces of junk mail envelopes, part of a Bubble Yum wrapper, and assorted magazine images.

Thrashing Around

For a variety of reasons, this was a bad day... and I think that came out loud and clear in these picture doodles of my crappy day...

Re-Think Pink

As I went through my pile of pink bits trying to see if anything struck me, I realized I had a bunch of pink and black things... so I was off and running. I had prepped a couple of pages with a background of pink and purple painted tissue paper laid down with acrylic medium. I really like the translucent effect this gives. With a sharpie and a scrap of graph paper I doodled a checkered piece to add some pop to this. The butterfly with pink and purple flowers was a last minute inspiration that I really like. This page is like a lot of my pages with text... I have a feeling there's a deeper meaning hidden in the text I choose, frankly, rather randomly. Maybe eventually I can merge these pages with my journaling and see where they lead me.

Think Pink

The Gluebooks Yahoo group has not only been challenging me to create a page a day... but also to do at least one pink page in honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Being a pink freak... I have enough little pink bits for several pink pages... but here's the first one made out of a Christmas card and some magazine pages...

Little Bits of Theater

Here are two collages I did from junk I picked up and stuffed in my pockets during the run of the show.

The first piece is just a section of camo netting from the set with an ad from a magazine that says "Great theater deserves a great setting."

The second collage is just a random collection of the junk that passed through my hands and should have been destined for the trash.
